The Electrical Engineering program has implemented a process of continuous improvement that will allow future professionals to have a solid educational foundation with the capacity to manage innovative processes, emerging technologies, and anticipate the welfare and safety needs of the community.

Likewise, they can dimension and analyze electrical energy measurement systems and understand the processes of electrical energy production.ĭepending on their preferences, electrical engineers have specific research and professional competencies in one of the following areas: industrial automation, electric power quality, operation, and expansion of power systems, rational use of energy, alternative sources of power generation or electric power markets. Graduates are also capable of analyzing the performance of rotating electrical machines and transformers. In addition, they are able to analyze power systems in steady state, both under normal operating conditions and under fault conditions. They are also trained to design electric power transmission lines, electric power distribution networks, electrical substations, process control systems and electrical installations. They have the necessary competencies to learn autonomously and to adapt to the realities of the environment. This institution had 132 bachelor's degree, of these 48 were men and 84 women, and being the areas with the most bachelor's degree students Health Sciences (100), Administration and business (10), and Social Sciences and Law (9).Electrical engineers who graduated from the UIS are responsible, ethical, creative, tolerant, committed and environmentally friendly professionals, highly qualified to work in groups and to communicate efficiently.
